Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust has a new non-executive director to the Board – its third this year.

Caroline Whalley-Hunter is head of finance for global health and local & devolved government at BT Global Services. Until recently, she was finance director for UK managed services solutions at CSC, the international IT services company.

She was brought up in Halsall, near Ormskirk, has lived in Burscough for more than 20 years and is married with a 19-year-old son.

Caroline succeeds former Southport Visiter editor Jane Daly who joined the Trust three years ago and stepped down for health reasons.

She joins Jeannette Newman and Su Fowler-Johnson who joined the Board as non-executive directors in July.

Trust chairman Sir Ron Watson CBE said: “Caroline further strengthens the Board as we move towards becoming a foundation trust. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Jane Daly for her commitment and contribution, and wish her all the best for the future.”

Caroline will serve until July 2016 and will receive remuneration of £6,096 per annum.
