Right Arrow Chairman invites local civic leaders to discuss transport issues
18 April 2007 at 15:03
Chairman of the Trust, Sir Ron Watson, has written to local MPs and Councillors inviting them to join together in a multi-organisational approach to the improvement of transport links to our hospitals.

Sir Ron believes that a single group encompassing MPs, District, Metropolitan Borough and County Councillors together with representatives from the Trust would best serve the interests of patients, visitors and other people who need to travel to Southport and Ormskirk hospitals.

Sir Ron explained the reasons behind his letter, “Despite a number of efforts over the last eight years or so to get transport to and from the hospitals improved, I continue to receive complaints and hear stories of the difficulties patients and visitors from both West Lancashire and Sefton experience in accessing their local hospitals. Something needs to be done, and I am hoping this approach will be successful.”
